How to Cook Steak on a Pellet Grill

- 2 Filet mignon steaks, 1-inch thick (8 oz)
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1/4 cup Balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup Beef broth
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 Clove of garlic (minced)
- Fresh parsley leaves
Preheat the pellet grill to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Season steaks with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Whisk together balsamic vinegar, beef broth, honey, and Dijon mustard in a small bowl. Pour into the skillet, and cook until slightly thickened, about 2 minutes.
Grill steaks for 6-8 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Baste with the balsamic glaze during the last few minutes of cooking.
Remove to a plate, and let rest for 5 minutes.
Serve with the balsamic glaze.
Things to take care of while storing this recipe:
- Make sure the steaks are completely cooled before storing.
- Wrap the steaks tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil.
- Place the wrapped steaks in an airtight container or zip-top bag.
- Label the container with the recipe's name, date stored, and expiration date (3 days from the date stored).
- Place the container in the refrigerator.
- When ready to use, remove the steaks from the container and allow them to come to room temperature.
- Reheat the steaks on a grill or skillet over medium-high heat until cooked through.
