How to Cook Steak on a Pellet Grill

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Filet mignon steaks, 1-inch thick (8 oz)
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 Clove of garlic (minced)
  • Fresh parsley leaves

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the pellet grill to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Season steaks with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Whisk together balsamic vinegar, beef broth, honey, and Dijon mustard in a small bowl. Pour into the skillet, and cook until slightly thickened, about 2 minutes.
  • Grill steaks for 6-8 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Baste with the balsamic glaze during the last few minutes of cooking.
  • Remove to a plate, and let rest for 5 minutes.
  • Serve with the balsamic glaze.

Notes

Things to take care of while storing this recipe:
  • Make sure the steaks are completely cooled before storing.
  • Wrap the steaks tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil.
  • Place the wrapped steaks in an airtight container or zip-top bag.
  • Label the container with the recipe's name, date stored, and expiration date (3 days from the date stored).
  • Place the container in the refrigerator.
  • When ready to use, remove the steaks from the container and allow them to come to room temperature.
  • Reheat the steaks on a grill or skillet over medium-high heat until cooked through.
