Old-fashioned Goulash Pioneer Woman Recipe

This old-fashioned goulash recipe from The Pioneer Woman is easy to make. Serve it with a side of bread or rolls for a complete meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 Onion (diced)
  • 1 Green bell pepper (diced)
  • 3 Cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 can Diced tomatoes, undrained (14.5 ounces)
  • 1 can Tomato sauce (8 ounces)
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1/4 cup Red wine
  • 1 pound Elbow macaroni
  • 3 tbsp Chopped fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • Heat the oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the onion, bell pepper, garlic, salt, and black pepper and cook until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar, oregano, basil, and wine, and bring to a simmer.
  • Add the macaroni and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
  • Stir in the parsley and serve.
