- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/4 cup Diced onion
- 1 Garlic clove (minced)
- 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
- 2 cups Chicken broth
- 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon Dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon White sugar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
Add onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
Stir in flour, and slowly whisk in chicken broth.
Add cayenne, black, thyme, basil, sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 10 minutes.
