How to Make Strawberry Preserves

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups Fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped (1 quart)
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1 tbsp Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Combine the strawberries, sugar, honey, lemon juice, and vanilla extract in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring frequently.
  • Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove the preserves from the heat and let cool slightly.
  • Transfer the preserves to jars or containers with lids and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
