1 can Black beans (drained and rinsed) 1/2 Onion (diced) 1 Garlic clove (minced) 1/4 teaspoon Chili powder 1/4 teaspoon Cumin 1/4 teaspoon Salt 1 tbsp Olive oil 1/4 cup Water
In a medium skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes .
Add the black beans, chili powder, cumin, and salt, and cook for 2 minutes .
Add the water and cook for two more minutes .
Using a potato masher or the back of a spoon, mash the beans until they reach your desired consistency.
Serve immediately with your favorite toppings, such as sour cream, salsa, or cheese.
