1cupUnsalted butter, at room temperature(2 sticks)
2cupsGranulated sugar
4Large eggs(at room temperature)
3cupsAll-purpose flour
1teaspoonBaking powder
1/2teaspoonBaking soda
1cupButtermilk, at room temperature
1teaspoonVanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy in a large bowl. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Whisk together flour, baking powder, and baking soda in another bowl. Add to the butter mixture, alternately with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the flour. Stir in vanilla extract.
Pour batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
