Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Dry pasta
  • 1/2 cup Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Chopped onion
  • 4 Cloves of minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 can Crushed tomatoes (28-ounce)
  • 1/4 cup Chopped fresh basil
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook pasta according to package instructions.
  • In a large saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in tomato paste, sugar, oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper.
  • Add crushed tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Drain pasta and mix with tomato sauce. Stir in fresh basil and mozzarella cheese.
  • Pour into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until bubbly.
