Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 Large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt 
  • 3/4 cup Chocolate chips or chopped nuts 

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the toaster oven to 350°F.
  • Line a toaster oven cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy in a large bowl. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Finally, stir in the chocolate chips or nuts if using.
  • Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cookies are lightly golden brown and set.
  • Cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
