1 cup Butter, softened (2 sticks) 1 cup Sugar 2 Large eggs 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract 2 cups All-purpose flour 1 teaspoon Baking powder 1/4 teaspoon Salt
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl , cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
In another bowl , whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture, mixing until just blended.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto a prepared baking sheet. Bake until cookies are golden brown, about 15 minutes .
Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
Store in an airtight container.
