Instructions
Mix the flour, yeast, salt and sugar in a bowl.
Once combined, add the whole egg, yolk, and milk and mix until a dough forms.
Add the butter and vanilla extract and continue kneading until the dough is smooth. Cover the dough and allow it to prove for 20 minutes.
Roll out the dough to ¼ inch thickness and cut out the doughnut shapes. Allow the dough to prove for an additional 20 minutes.
Fry in 350°F oil until golden brown.
Mix icing sugar with pink food coloring and a splash of water, and combine to form glaze.
Once doughnuts are cooled, dip them in the glaze and decorate with sprinkles.
Notes
Ensure that the doughnuts are cooled to room temperature before dipping.
