- 1 pound Elbow macaroni
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
- 2 cups Milk
- 1 package Cream cheese, softened (8 ounces)
- 1 cup Shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 cup Shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Cyenne pepper
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and salt until smooth. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Finally, stir in cream cheese until smooth.
Add cooked macaroni and cheeses to the saucepan and stir until well combined. Pour into the prepared dish.
Bake for 25 minutes or until bubbly.
