Jose Cuervo Margarita Mix Recipe

Today I will show you how to prepare the Jose Cuervo Margarita Mix recipe in less than 10 minutes.

Fresh and traditional margaritas are probably the most popular alcoholic beverages besides beer and are the easiest ones to make. To mix up a classic glass of margarita, you only need lime wedges, salt for the glass rims, some good quality Blanco tequila, Cointreau, and crispy fresh lime juice.

Not everyone wants to buy all this stuff separately. A good party is coming up. Do you want to accommodate your friends for a Saturday game night or some summer grilling with the family outside? Everyone loves margaritas. They are easy and versatile; you can add any ingredients, juices, or syrups to alter the taste; they are not too strong to enjoy some glasses but don’t feel terrible afterward.

To make these occasions easier, some people came up with the idea of ready-to-serve margarita mixes, and Jose Cuervo is the undoubted king of this industry. They perfectly balance sweet and sour and don’t have any funny aftertaste. So why would you experiment with anything else besides the best available?

How to make frozen margaritas with Jose Cuervo margarita mix?

Ice cubes for the margarita

To make these summer specials, you only need a blender, some Jose Cuervo margarita mix, tequila, and ice. Any garnishing, such as salt rims or lime wedges, is optional but elevates the drinks to a whole other level.

Simply chill your glasses beforehand and create a salt rim on them before serving. Mix the ingredients in a blender: tequila, margarita mix, and ice. Crush them on low speed for about 30 seconds, or some more if needed, and just pour them into the glasses. Always serve them fresh.

Making frozen margaritas from margarita mix and with a blender takes about 5 minutes maximum and is probably the easiest cocktail you can find.

Don’t forget to chill your glasses beforehand.

Although frozen margaritas have lots of ice in them, to keep the drink from melting too fast, it’s best to serve them in chilled margarita glasses.

Keeping ready-cut lime wedges and other garnishes on hand and rimming the glasses with salt beforehand saves you a lot of time.

Why you should use the premade mix

We are so over the times when prepackaged, pre-made foods, mixes, or ingredients made us feel ashamed.

No one is going to complain at a family gathering or party that you made your life easier by buying and using a ready-made, high-quality margarita mix. After all, they will get their drinks way faster this way!

It can save you lots of time and headaches, and you probably won’t make these drinks this perfect every time someone asks for them. Just imagine fixing up the tenth margarita while accomodating guests and the glasses keep emptying at a very fast rate. You don’t have time to enjoy yourself, converse with others, or just focus on anything else needed, such as the food.

That’s why premade margarita mixes, such as Jose Cuervo are so cool. You get to enjoy the party also! Not to mention the dozens of flavors available such as watermelon, lime, strawberry, cherry, orange, pineapple, and mango.

Offering variability in taste without a margarita mix means you have to buy and think up lots of different ingredients, leaving more room for mistakes.

Tips and tricks for a better margarita

Instead of tequila, Cointreau or triple sec is often used to make margaritas, so feel free to substitute any of them for the other. You can also add a splash of fresh fruit zest to brighten and bolden the taste. In this instance, a splash of watermelon juice can be amazing, as can fresh lime juice.

Orange liqueur is one of the secret ingredients some Mexican restaurants use to make margaritas.

You need just a hint of them to elevate the taste.

The same goes for the jalapeno. Sounds intriguing, but a slice of jalapeno will add a tangy spiciness to the drinks. Make sure to balance that out with enough sweetness, though.

Final words

When creating cocktails, always skip the cheap ingredients. All they offer are headaches the day after. And maybe some additional stomach aches too. Go for higher quality alcohol. Your body will thank you for that.

Cocktails serving 101 number one is never to serve drinks in warm glasses. Doesn’t matter how much ice, crushed or whole goes into the drinks, the outcome won’t be as pleasing or tasty. Summer drinks, like margaritas, are only good chilled. There is nothing more depressing than a lukewarm glass of margarita after a long and tiring week.

By making margaritas on the rocks instead of frozen, you can cut back on the sugars significantly. To enhance this, Jose Cuervo also offers sugar-free, or so-called „light” margarita mixes. This way, you don’t have to give up tasty cocktails anymore!
